Outlet
Open-box, demo and refurbished Transcell equipment. Tested, backed by a 1-year Transcell warranty, and sold at a discount.

Outlet doesn’t mean used. Five of seven reasons mean it never was.
Each eBay listing states the condition of that unit.
Never used
Never put into service.
Used before
Put into service, then tested to full working order.
- Open box
- Overstock
- Cancelled order
- Cosmetic blemish
- End of life
- Demo unit
- Customer return
Each listing sets its own shipping, payment and returns. The free 2-day shipping on this site does not apply. Shop the outlet on eBay
When to buy new instead. Outlet stock is whatever is on hand.
The outlet suits a spare, a bench unit or a second readout. Buy new for a legal for trade sale, which needs a certified platform and indicator pairing; for a matched set of load cells from one batch; for a spec configured by capacity, thread and cable length; or when lead time matters more than the discount.
The outlet, answered.
What does B-stock mean?
B-stock is equipment that is not sold as new for a reason unrelated to whether it works: open box, overstock, cancelled orders, cosmetic blemishes, end-of-life models, demo units and customer returns. Units may carry slight imperfections that do not affect use or functionality, and every one is tested to full working order before it is listed.
Is outlet equipment really covered by a warranty?
Yes. Transcell states a full 1-year warranty on outlet items, from Transcell rather than from a third-party plan. That is the same company that designed, built and calibrated the equipment, and that handles repair and recalibration directly. The warranty covers the equipment and is separate from the return window on the eBay listing, which is set per listing.
Why is the outlet on eBay instead of on this site?
Outlet units are individual items that turn over quickly. A single returned indicator or a blemished platform has no stable part number, price or stock count, which is what this site’s shop is built around. Listing them in the Transcell eBay store under the seller name transcellofficial means the listing itself is the source of truth about condition, price and what is actually available.
Can I return an outlet item?
Outlet purchases complete on eBay, so the returns window, the shipping cost and the payment terms are the ones stated on that individual listing. Read them before you buy, because they are set per listing and are not the same as this site’s terms. The 1-year Transcell warranty on the equipment itself is separate from, and additional to, that return window.
Is outlet equipment NTEP certified and legal for trade?
Do not assume it is. NTEP certification applies to a specific platform and indicator pairing rather than to either part on its own, and a legal-for-trade installation still has to be placed into service and sealed by your local weights and measures inspector. If weight is the basis of a sale, check the individual listing and call 800-503-9180 before you buy. Where certification is a requirement rather than a preference, buying new is usually the right answer.
Can I ask for a specific model to be put in the outlet?
You can ask, and it is worth a call if you are flexible on timing. Outlet stock is whatever is on hand rather than something built to order, so there is no way to promise a particular model will appear. If you need a specific capacity, thread or cable length, or a matched set of load cells for one platform, buying new is the faster answer and usually the cheaper one once downtime is counted.
Is the equipment used?
Some of it, and the listing says which. The outlet mixes unused equipment whose only problem is a damaged carton or a cancelled order with demo units and customer returns that have been used and then reconditioned. The condition section above shows which reasons involve a unit that has been in service, and each eBay listing states the condition of that unit.
