TI-1520 weighing indicator overview

The TI-1520 is an NTEP and Canadian certified digital weighing indicator housed in a stainless steel NEMA 4X/IP65 enclosure, designed for general purpose industrial weighing where wash-down resistance, a large easy-to-read display, and high division count are all required. It features a large 1.0" 6-digit green LED display that is readable from a distance, drives up to eight 350Ω load cells, and is certified for 10,000 divisions in Class III/IIIL environments. Time and date are included as standard — not an add-on — along with an internal power supply, full front panel calibration, and a programmable print format with 6-digit ID number. System linearity is within 0.01% of full scale. Optional add-ons including RS-485, Bluetooth, WLAN, and analog output make the TI-1520 adaptable to a wide range of industrial data collection and process control environments. The stainless steel NEMA 4X/IP65 enclosure with heavy duty swivel mounting stand withstands wash-down, moisture, and corrosive environments. Internal power supply eliminates the need for a separate AC adapter and keeps cabling clean.

10,000 NTEP and Canadian certified divisions
Certified for 10,000 divisions under NTEP CoC 99-017 and Canadian Approval AM-5305R1 in Class III/IIIL environments — double the division count of basic TI series indicators, suitable for applications requiring higher resolution legal-for-trade weighing.

Capable of powering up to eight 350Ω load cells simultaneously with an excitation voltage of +5 VDC, making the TI-1520 suitable for large multi-cell platform scales, floor scales, and industrial weighing systems.

Time/date standard and programmable print format
Time and date are included as standard — not an optional add-on — along with a programmable print format supporting a 6-digit ID number for traceability. Piece Counting, Remote Display, and Peak Hold application modes are also built in.

Selectable 10/80 Hz with 0.01% linearity
Selectable 10/80 Hz A/D conversion rate provides flexibility between stable static and faster dynamic weighing. System linearity within 0.01% of full scale and 260,000 internal counts of resolution deliver consistent accuracy across the full measurement range.

Technical notes

Installation and connectivity

The TI-1520 uses a Quick Disconnect cable connection and operates on 100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz via its internal power supply — no external adapter required. It connects to any standard mV/V load cell or junction box and supports up to eight 350Ω load cells. Standard communications include one full-duplex RS-232C port, with RS-485, Bluetooth, WLAN, and analog output available as add-ons.

Compatible applications

The TI-1520 is well suited for large floor scales, platform scales, truck scales, food processing, and industrial weighing environments requiring a wash-down rated stainless steel enclosure with a high-division count and a large, easily readable LED display. It pairs with Transcell S-type, shear beam, and single-point load cells.
