FDI-02-SS bidirectional force measurement indicator overview
The FDI-02-SS is the stainless steel, wash-down rated version of the FDI-02 bidirectional force measurement indicator. It shares the same high-performance measurement core — 1,200 Hz sampling, over 1,000,000 internal counts of resolution per mV/V, and independent tension and compression calibration curves — but is housed in a stainless steel NEMA 4x/IP65 enclosure built for harsh, wet, or corrosive environments. Rather than AA batteries, the FDI-02-SS features an embedded 100-hour rechargeable battery with a charger included, making it well suited for extended portable use in field testing, production, and quality control environments. Installation and connectivity
The FDI-02-SS connects to any standard mV/V load cell via its 14-pin load cell cable. A full-duplex RS-232C serial port supports data output to computers and printers for logging and reporting. The embedded rechargeable battery and included charger mean no disposable batteries are needed, making it practical for extended field deployments. Typical applications
The FDI-02-SS is ideal for wash-down environments, food processing facilities, outdoor field testing, marine applications, and any setting where moisture, dust, or corrosive exposure makes a stainless steel instrument necessary. It is used in tensile and compression testing, proof load verification, quality control, and OEM test equipment integration. |
