TI-500 RF wireless weighing indicator overview

The TI-500 RF is an NTEP certified wireless-capable digital weighing indicator housed in a compact aluminum/ABS NEMA 12 enclosure. It shares the same wireless platform as the TI-500 RF-SS but in a smaller, lighter form factor — making it the more portable choice for field use, bench applications, and installations where a full stainless steel enclosure is not required. It drives up to eight 350Ω load cells, features a large 0.8" 6-digit backlit LCD display, and runs on 4 AA alkaline batteries for 85+ hours of continuous use. Compatible with the optional TI-500RFTM Bluetooth wireless weighing module, the TI-500 RF can operate entirely cable-free. Selectable 10/80 Hz conversion rate, 10,000 certified divisions, multipoint linearization calibration, and remote serial port configuration round out a highly capable and affordable wireless indicator. Wireless capability via Bluetooth
Compatible with the optional TI-500RFTM wireless weighing module for fully cable-free scale operation. Optional Bluetooth Class I module enables wireless data output to computers, printers, and mobile devices up to 100 meters unobstructed.

85+ hour AA battery operation
Runs on 4 user-replaceable AA alkaline batteries for over 85 hours of continuous operation. No proprietary battery packs or charging infrastructure required — batteries are available anywhere, making the TI-500 RF ideal for field and portable use.

Drives up to eight 350Ω load cells
Powers up to eight 350Ω load cells simultaneously — well beyond the 4-cell limit of basic indicators — making the TI-500 RF suitable for large platform scales, multi-cell floor scales, and demanding industrial applications.

Multipoint linearization calibration
Supports multipoint calibration with linearization for improved accuracy across the full measurement range. The selectable 10/80 Hz conversion rate allows tuning for stable static weighing or faster dynamic applications. Remote configuration via serial port is also supported.

Advanced application modes
Supports Remote Display, Peak Hold, Checkweighing, Accumulation, Piece Counting, and Self-diagnostics modes. Time/date stamping and units in lb, kg, g, and oz are all included as standard.

Shared TI series calibration
Setup and calibration parameters are shared across all TI series indicators. Facilities already running other TI series units can add the TI-500 RF without retraining staff or changing existing procedures.

Technical notes

Installation and connectivity

The TI-500 RF ships with a 15 ft homerun cable and operates on 4 AA batteries or 4-14 VDC external power. It connects to any standard mV/V load cell or junction box and supports up to eight 350Ω load cells. Standard communications include a full-duplex RS-232C port accessible via an external DSUB9 connector, with optional Bluetooth, WLAN, RS-485, and analog output add-ons available.

TI-500 RF vs TI-500 RF-SS
